Internal Medicine

At Parkway, Internal Medicine physicians are on hand for immediate consultation on prevention and treatment of adult medical conditions and diseases. Physicians are trained to diagnose severe chronic illnesses and situations where different illnesses may strike at the same time. 

They also bring to patients an understanding of preventive medicine, men's and women's health, substance abuse, mental health, as well as effective treatment of common problems of the eyes, ears, and skin, nervous system and reproductive organs. They are able to either treat patients onsite directly or refer them to the best relevant specialist.

Dr. Warren Ho is an American Board-Certified Internal Medicine Physician with over 20 years working experience. He has special interest in preventative medicine and illness of adults. Dr. Ho earned his Medical Degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine (U.S.). He completed his residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital in Connecticut (U.S.), and his fellowship in General Internal Medicine and Medical Informatics at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New-York (U.S.).

Dr. Lei Cai is an attending doctor with over 15 years of working experience. Neurologist

Dr. Wenjie Cao is an experienced neurologist with over 20 years’ clinical experience. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of stroke, headaches, dizziness and insomnia, anxiety and depression, and in the intervention treatment of intra/extra cranial vascular stenosis (evaluation and stenting), etc. Dr. Cao obtained his MD and Ph.D. from Shanghai Fudan University School of Medicine (China). He has been a research fellow at the Royal Melbourne Hospital (Australia) and a visiting scholar at Johns Hopkins Hospital (USA). Dr. Cao is currently an associate professor of Neurology Department at Shanghai Huashan Hospital (China).

Dr. Elsie Gu is an associate chief physician with over 15 years of professional experience in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases and chronic disease management. She worked in the Department of Geriatric Medicine at Shanghai Xinhua Hospital for more than 10 years, gaining extensive clinical experience. In addition, she has held important positions in the cardiovascular department of high-end private medical institutions in Shanghai. Dr. Gu holds a certificate as a health manager and a mid-level qualification in general practice, and she serves as a member of the Health Management and Technology Branch of the Chinese Medical Equipment Association.

Associate Chief Physician

Dr. Feng Wang is an associate chief physician with nearly 20 years of clinical experience in the field of neurology. She specializes in screening and prevention guidance for high-risk populations of stroke, and is capable of standardizing primary and secondary prevention, follow-up, and medication management for stroke. Dr. Wang has extensive experience in diagnosing and differentiating common neurological symptoms such as dizziness, headache, numbness in hands and feet, muscle weakness, facial paralysis, hemiplegia, tremors, insomnia, and neuropathic pain. Additionally, she provides personalized medication guidance for diseases such as Parkinson's disease, epilepsy, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and carotid plaque, and is proficient in nerve conduction studies and electromyography.

Dr. Feng Wang graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, earning both a master's and a doctoral degree in neurology. She has worked for many years in the neurology department of a top-tier hospital in Shanghai and served as a visiting scholar at the Brain Research Center of the Royal Melbourne Hospital in Australia. Dr. Wang serves as the secretary of the Stroke Group of the 10th Committee of the Neurology Branch of the Shanghai Medical Association, the secretary of the Neurology Branch of the Shanghai Stroke Association, a member of the 10th Youth Committee of the Neurology Branch of the Shanghai Medical Association, a youth member of the 4th Committee of the Shanghai Medical Association Stroke Branch, and a director of the second youth council of the Chinese Stroke Association.

Dr. XU has previously worked as a Cardiology Physician at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (Singapore).  She was a General Practitioner and Attending Cardiologist at Shanghai East International Medical Center (China) prior to joining Parkway in 2013.  Dr. XU holds Specialist Internal Medicine License and General Practitioner Qualification.

Dr. Jie Zhao graduated from Ruijin Hospital affiliated with Shanghai Second Medical University, earning a master's degree in cardiovascular medicine. She has served as an ICU attending physician at a high-end private medical institution in Shanghai and as a resident and attending physician in the emergency department at Xinhua Hospital. Dr. Zhao is an American Heart Association (AHA) instructor and an International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) instructor. She has participated in numerous clinical and medical teaching research projects, co-authored two books, and published more than 10 papers in core journals and SCI. Additionally, she serves as a member of the Shanghai Medical Association.

She has served as a designated signing doctor for the U.S., Canadian, Australian, and New Zealand consulates, accumulating valuable experience in the field of travel medicine. Dr. Cai holds a vaccination certificate and has more than 10 years of relevant work experience. She has a profound understanding and rich experience in the theory, practice, and vaccination procedures of different countries. Dr. Cai is committed to providing clients with comprehensive, personalized, and precise health solutions.
